MEANING BEHIND THE F.M.A.C. LOGO

1.  Logo Definition Circle representing the following:

        A.    Circle of life, everything happens in cycles.

        B.    All motion taught is broken down into circles.

 

2.  F.M.A.C. Colors:

        A.    Red:  Represents professorship, the ultimate goal of all martial artists.  Blood of brotherhood.

        B.    Grey:  Represents the brain - the thought that goes into the system.

 

3.  Symbols:

        A.    Octagon:  Represents the points of offensive and defensive motion.

        B.    Lightning Bolt:  Represents Professor Chow, the founder of our original system.

        C.    Mountain:  Represents Hawaii, where Professor Chow was from.  In the top of the mountain you will find "Hiken", meaning hidden fist.  In the orient it was believed one should keep his weapon hidden from the enemy.

        D.    Pine Tree:  Represents strength and health.

 

4.  Lettering:

        A.    Tokaido Kenpo Kai:  Tokaido meaning northeast, Kenpo meaning the fist law, and Kai meaning training hall.

        B.    Chinese Writing:  A reminder of the originators of the art.  Translation on the left is "Spirit of the dragon, spirit of the tiger".  Translation on the right is "Empty hand by way of fist/Kenpo Karate".
